- I designed a microUSB to ethernet adapter PCB to connect a military reconnaissance drone's base station to a cell phone. The cell phone was used to view the drone data and camera feed.
- Designed the adapter in Altium and my design was sent to be fabricated.
- Unfortunately my coop ended early due to COVID so I was not able to personally test the design.
- I assembled 2 electrical control boxes while helping the senior engineer update their design. These boxes provided remote access and control to test fixtures that controlled anti-fouling UV LEDs, motors, and cameras.
- These UV fixtures were meant to attach to a wall climbing robot to kill algae on the hulls of ships.
- The boxes were deployed at various marinas for long-term testing in water.
- I updated the design and assembled a solar panel battery box that was used to power the electrical boxes described above.
- I worked tightly with the software and mechanical engineers on this project.
- I assembled and reviewed the design of the wall climbing robot.
- Tested human factors and usability on 3 exoskeleton systems for the U.S. Army. Both powered and passive exoskeletons.
